Daily / Monthly Tuition Rates and Fees

Tuition Rates include all specialty classes such as exercise, a foreign language, computer and art / music.  Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are also included in the tuition rates for children when then they are able to eat solid food.  Click on About Us  and see the Food Program and Meals for additional information.  Twice each preschool year, parents are asked to assist in providing supplies such as baby wipes and other basics.

Both Private and DHS students may enroll in Play and Learn Preschool.  Play and Learn Preschool, Inc. admits students of any race, color and national or ethnic origin.

 

Daily Rate Calculation

(FT) Full-Time Students  =  5 days per week (Mon thru Fri)

Equal Monthly Rate Formula is the Daily rate X 5 days X 52 weeks ./. 12 months


This formula allows the monthly rate to remain equal for all twelve months of the preschool year, September through August.  Tuition remains at the same rate throughout the preschool year.  The preschool is open 50 weeks annually and is closed two weeks each calendar year in addition to certain holidays. There is no reduction in tuition for student absences and no credit is provided for holidays or other days the preschool may be required to close due to weather or circumstances beyond the control of the preschool. Part-time student tuition. where applicable, utilizes the same equal monthly rate formula adjusted for actual scheduled days.

 

Tuition Discounts

Multiple Children  A 10% discount is provided for multiple children.  The 10% discount is calculated on the daily rate for the oldest child and deducted from the appropriate classroom / age rate for the other child / children.

Private Pay Church Membership Tuition Discount  Parents who are participating members of Yale Avenue Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) are eligible for a 10% discount for one child.  If there are multiple children, the 10% Multiple Children discount will be utilized instead of the Church Membership discount.  Only one discount is applicable.  Parents are defined as parents with natural birth children and / or with legally adopted children and those who are legal guardians.


Enrollment Fee and Enrollment Discounts

Enrollments received September through May - A $80.00 NON-REFUNDABLE ENROLLMENT FEE per child must be paid at time of enrollment.  A 10% enrollment discount is applicable for each additional child in the family.  This fee is applicable from the month enrolled through the end of the school year (August).

Enrollments received June through August - A $35.00 NON-REFUNDABLE ENROLLMENT FEE per child must be paid at the time of enrollment for enrollments occurring in June, July or August.  A 10% enrollment discount is applicable for each additional child in the family.  This fee is applicable only for enrollments occurring in June, July and August.  A $80.00 Non-Refundable Enrollment Fee will be required for the new school year which begins the following September as noted above.


Payments / Payment Methods

Monthly - Monthly Payments are due on the 1st with a late fee applicable if payment is not received by the 8th.  The late fee is $20.

Twice Monthly - Twice per month payments are due on the 1st and 15th with late fees applicable if payments are not received by the 8th and the 23rd.  The late fee is $20.
